The pressure of fluid on the discharge side of the pump, typically measured within three diameters of the discharge flange of the pump using a pressure gage. In the U.S., pressure is typically measured in pounds per square inch (psi), although it can also be reported in bar, millimeters of mercury (mmHg), or units of head (feet / meters).
In Motors@Work, use this field on the Pump Measurement screen to record gage pressure (psig; not differential pressure, psid) in your preferred unit of measure. Motors@Work uses this field to calculate pump hydraulic power and pump-system efficiencies.
