The ‘Settings’ tab of the setup wizard contains several miscellaneous optional settings, including:
Growing degree day base temperature Adjust the temperature at which your local growing season starts. Default = 50°F.
List price discount The discount on manufacturer list prices that Motors@Work will assume for its calculations. Many distributers discount list prices by 35% (default).
Payback period The period in which you would need to recoup your investment in a new motor or motor-driven asset through energy savings to make the investment worthwhile. Default value is two years.
Power factor alert threshold The level at which Motors@Work will send a low-power-factor alert.
Replacements budget, fixed The amount available for funding motor-system replacements year-to-year as a fixed dollar amount. Motors@Work uses this to prioritize its replacement recommendations on the Asset Demographics portlet.
