Motor circuit analysis (MCA) is a technique that combines motor resistance, impedance, inductance, phase angle, current/ frequency response and insulation resistance to detect defects in a motor’s windings (e.g., shorts, resistive unbalances, and insulation to ground), cabling, and rotor. Motor circuit analysis is useful for trending motor health and estimating future winding failures.
In Motors@Work, use this field on the Measurements screen to record the capacitance dissipation factor from your recent MCA test.
